The experience begins at the Lakes Entrance, with transport through the Park to the Riding Arena, where the guided walk starts and reveals some of the places that best express King Ferdinand II’s Romantic vision.

Important information:

  2. The guided tour takes place every Monday and Tuesday at 10:30am, in Portuguese and/or English.
  3. The meeting point is at the Lakes Ticket Office/Shop, located at the Lakes Entrance to the Park of Pena. From here, participants are transported to the Riding Ring, where the guided tour begins.
  4. Visitors should arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the scheduled starting time.
  5. A maximum tolerance of 15 minutes after the scheduled starting time is allowed. After this period, participation in the tour cannot be guaranteed.
  6. The guided visit is mainly on foot, includes some uphill sections and covers approximately 1.5 km. The route may vary and does not necessarily finish at the same point where it begins.
  7. The guided tour does not include the Chalet of the Countess of Edla, which may be visited independently during your time in the Park.
  8. The route may be adjusted according to visiting conditions and the operational requirements of the Park.
